About Medicine Bow Technologies
|

|
Servicing hospitals in the Rocky Mountain Region, Medicine Bow Technologies (MBT) is providing a networked community of small health groups with access to advanced and seamlessly integrated software, hardware and network solutions for electronic patient management. MBT’s ability to implement and integrate Hospital Information Systems and related clinical and administrative applications helps healthcare professionals in small organizations be able to afford to deliver quality medical care to all patients.
MBT is located in the city of Laramie, Wyoming. While Laramie has a reputation for being a ‘Wild West’ town, it is ranked in the top ten places to live by Bizjournals, in the top 40 outdoor college towns by Outside Magazine, and in the top three for the best places for outdoor activities by MSN. The city prides itself on having a friendly small-community mentality while enjoying a technologically sophisticated college culture. With the presence of the University of Wyoming, the Wyoming Technical Institute (WyoTech), and the Laramie County Community College, Laramie provides a significant pool of talent and intellect from which MBT can draw.
Once MBT was formed (see Company History), a technology partnership was negotiated with the University of Wyoming to house offices and the data center at the University's newly constructed Wyoming Technology Business Center (WTBC), Wyoming’s premier business incubator. Efforts currently center on introducing the ASP model to healthcare communities throughout the region.
Medicine Bow Technologies is an independent technology corporation whose leadership is comprised of individuals from the community, the University of Wyoming, Ivinson Memorial Hospital and key consultants.
